    SCARLET-W Monochrome harnesses the RAW performance and impressive dynamic range of the RED DRAGON Monochrome sensor. Experience the ground-breaking image quality of the RED DRAGON® Monochrome sensor—optimized for SCARLET-W. Capture the black and white cinematic quality and elegance in 5K 2.4:1 at up to 60 frames per second (fps), or 5K Full Frame at 50 fps, with a monochrome sensor that exceeds the light-gathering capabilities of traditional color sensors. SCARLET-W Monochrome features sensor improvements that achieve increased light sensitivity, higher resolution and unmatched dynamic range. SCARLET-W also features numerous enhancements, including simultaneous REDCODE RAW® and Apple ProRes recording, integrated smart connectors for cable-free peripheral attachment, and faster read/write speeds for lower compression—all in a small and lightweight form factor. And coming in mid-2016, RED DSMC2 cameras will provide support for Avid DNxHR™ and Avid DNxHD® recording formats. Support for Avid will be made available through a free camera firmware update.
