Plug & Play
The DIT Station can be setup in an amazing 60 seconds - we know because we tested it on set. Having everything in one case eliminates tedious set up and makes wrapping up a piece of cake!
UPS
The UPS supports all the equipment in the station including data storage, network, Mobile Rocket, raw media storage devices, cooling ventilation, and lights. This gives you approximately 20-30 minutes of back-up power.
Mobile Rocket
With the addition of Maxx Digital's Mobile Rocket, you can now have a full 2K / 4K feed from the DIT Station via the Dual Link DVI ports and HD SDI ports mounted on the rear port panels.
Network
The network is managed by a gigabit ethernet switch. Ports fitted to the rear of the DIT Station allow you to connect an internet hardline, external laptop or even another DIT Station.
NAS
With the DIT Station you have a choice of two types of standard central data storage:
Option 1: 2 bay unit - accepts 2.5” & 3.5” drives, SSD or spinning disc
Option 2: 4 bay unit - accepts 2.5” drives, SSD or spinning disc
The central data store provides a full 2 Gbit stream, read and write. This allows you to write to disk and simultaneously read for preview, optimized by load balancing technology. You can also daisy-chain external drives via USB and eSata.
RMS Devices
The base model includes a high speed CF Reader and DIT Station's unique RED Drive 'toaster' style dock. These RMS devices can be customised to accept other formats such as Panasonic's P2 and Sony's SXS.
Ventilation
The ventilation system draws air in to cool the warmest components in the case and exhausts past the computer fans to keep a regular air flow. As well as fans for general cooling the DIT Station has dedicated fans for the Mobile Rocket unit, giving maximum airflow over the RED Rocket video card inside.
Lighting
Your DIT Station comes with a gooseneck white LED lamp that can be plugged into any of the three sockets on the deck. So you never have to strain your eyes in those dark studios.
Ports
All the major data ports have been positioned on the deck and rear port panels so you never have to stick your head under the hood to re-wire in the middle of a job.
