Powerful Image Processor
UltraStudio Pro includes a fast video processor for incredible 10 bit quality hardware up, down and cross conversion! Now you can edit once and deploy in SD, 720HD or 1080HD while leaving all CPU time dedicated to real time effects. You can also select between letterbox, anamorphic 16:9 and pillar-box 4:3 video! When working in HD video, down conversion lets you monitor in SD and HD at the same time with s-video and composite video outputs active.

Professional Quality Audio
UltraStudio Pro features a massive 4 channels of balanced professional analog audio in and out, as well as 2 channels of AES/EBU digital audio in and out, for broadcast quality and sample accurate AV sync. UltraStudio Pro also includes a sample rate converter on the AES/EBU input, so you can connect to any digital audio device, from either synchronized or un-synchronized sources. UltraStudio Pro includes 8 channels of SDI embedded audio perfect for Premiere Pro's multi channel audio support. More HD Real Time Effects
UltraStudio Pro lets you create as fast as your mind works, because you get more HD real time effects! Unlike FireWire which is only half the data speed of HD video and needs to use heavy video compression to handle HD playback, USB 3.0 eliminates this bottleneck because at 4.8 Gb/s it easily handles native 10 bit HD video! This means UltraStudio Pro doesn’t waste CPU time compressing video just for playback, so all CPU time is dedicated to more HD real time effects.
Built in Hardware SD Keyer!
UltraStudio Pro includes an amazing quality standard definition digital internal keyer that lets you key RGBA images over the video input. That’s a total keying solution built right into UltraStudio Pro. The built-in keyer works great when used with Blackmagic Design’s Photoshop plug-ins, or even with RGBA animated video software for keying. Built-in keying is perfect for live events. Access VANC Blanking Data

Built in Live Keying
UltraStudio Pro can be switched to keying mode with the Blackmagic LiveKey application. Output graphics from Photoshop or other software in SD direct into production switchers, with fill and key output on the two independent SDI outputs on UltraStudio Pro.
NTSC, PAL 720HD and 1080HD
UltraStudio Pro has been designed to instantly switch between NTSC (USA and Japan) and PAL ( Europe and Asia), as well as all 720HD and 1080HD standards. SDI and analog connections switch easily between NTSC, PAL and all HD television standards. With a simple change of your settings you can have NTSC, PAL and HD media files on the same disk.
Frame Accurate
Editing systems based on Premiere Pro using UltraStudio Pro, may be inexpensive but they're certainly professional. Editors demand frame accurate batch capture and perfect AV sync!
Uncompressed Video Quality
SDI uses a higher data rate than DV, so it’s got the speed to handle full resolution video in standard definition or high definition, completely uncompressed. That means you can preserve video quality until you need to compress the video, such as the final compression pass for streaming or broadcast.
Insert Automatic Titles
Use LiveKey with UltraStudio Pro’s SD keying mode to automatically output fill and key using the SDI video outputs. LiveKey has an automatic mode that lets you fade graphics up and down with programmable times. It's great for dubbing bugs and 'not for broadcast' messages.
Archiving
Eliminate the dangers of archiving on tape formats that can be obsoleted over time. By archiving your work onto disk with UltraStudio Pro, your work is online whenever you need to view it. File formats such as QuickTime™ and AVI have been around for longer than many current tape formats and are great for archiving.
The Famous Blackmagic Codec
The world famous Blackmagic Codec allows highest rendering quality on UltraStudio Pro. Unlike other products, only the Blackmagic Codec features correct anti-aliasing 4:2:2 color filtering, so RGB graphics convert to correct 4:2:2 YUV video space without aliasing problems.
